Role Summary Description

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Account Manager to join our team, focusing on managing relationships with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and expanding a substantial portfolio of existing accounts while also identifying and delving into new or underexplored markets suitable for our products. Proactive sales and growth initiatives are essential in this role. Additionally, the position involves monitoring and handling incoming customer inquiries for quotes and information, emphasizing our products and services to ensure a positive return on investment for Triangle.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and nurture customer relationships, engaging with both prospective and existing clients.
  • Understand customer needs, preferences, and challenges to provide tailored solutions and exceptional service.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, issues, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

2. Account Growth and Retention

  • Identify opportunities for account expansion and upselling additional products or services to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop strategic account plans and execute initiatives to achieve sales targets and maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Proactively address potential risks or obstacles to customer retention and implement effective strategies to mitigate them.

3. Communication and Reporting

  • Effectively communicate account status, sales forecasts, and market insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing key metrics, achievements, and challenges related to account management
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market research, customer feedback, and industry best practices.

Essential Functions:

  • Foster connections with high-potential customers to maximize business opportunities.
  • Address and resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure all relevant customer information is accurately maintained in the company's database.
  • Keep abreast of customer needs and competitive supplier information, updating records accordingly.
  • Provide timely updates and prepare reports on customer status.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and sales teams to comprehend customer requirements and promote company products.
  • Travel to visit customers as needed, with an estimated travel time of up to 20%.

Position Requirements

The Account Manager role is full-time, with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, totaling 40-45 hours per week, with rare weekend availability as required. Additionally, there may be flexibility for up to 2 days per week of remote work, depending on the company's requirements. Fulfill any duties as assigned.

  • Delivery of Results – Ability to get the job done, bring in key factor results, ability to close and complete a project.
  • Quality and Work Standards – Willingness to do what it takes (“nothing is beneath me”) to get the job done right. Focus on problem prevention. An attention to detail that ensures superior performance.

Education/Certifications/Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Required: B2B sales experience
  • Required: High aptitude for mechanical systems.
  • Required: 5 years of software skills in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Required: Valid driver’s license.
  • Required: Experience with analysis of trends using software tools.
  • Strongly Preferred: Experience in metals, stamping, bearings and fabrication.
  • Preferred: 5 years’ experience with sales and marketing.
  • Preferred: Understanding of tooling materials (especially steels) and their properties.
  • Preferred: Proficiency with social networking sites, like LinkedIn.
